Led by Chef Norie Uematsu, Café Nu is a patisserie that combines Japanese techniques with Uematsu’s French culinary background, and focuses on hyper seasonality. Her desserts are heavily inspired by natural elements, both in her use of local ingredients, as well as her decorations that resemble botanical plants. Uematsu in Japanese kanji can be disected into the two characters, ‘best’ + ‘pine,’ which inspired the direction of the visual identity.
